MA in psychology, constructivist psychotherapist

Exploring the relationship between self-awareness and the control of disease in diabetics led her to the path of discovering body mind connection. She became a constructivist psychotherapist because it gave a clear framework and practical steps for work. Writing about how people perceive death, but live well with the idea of mortality, she understood the importance of respecting free will. Years of experience as an educator of new generations of psychotherapists in the Serbian Constructivist Association have brought the awareness of the importance of choosing words as metaphors for healing.

Taking up Alternative Women’s Studies helped her to discover the feminist perspective on bulimia and the importance of the connection between construing body and gender roles. The importance of gender roles and the feminist ethics of care became the necessary way to complete psychotherapeutic work and to guide sensitive issues of power and respect for others.

Psychodrama focused on the body led her to a valuable path of connecting alternative and academic knowledge about the relationship between the body and soul, but also to her personal path to healing.

The five rhythms - a movement meditation practice seduced her body and calmed her soul. Dancing her resistances she finally outlined the way and gained strength for the realisation of the Festival “Body as a Life Compass”. She hopes the Festival will become a place connecting valuable body and mind knowledge.  Its product would be immediately tested for its practical values by the watchful eye of the audience.
